Grace Parks, a junior Animal Science major at Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, hails from Vermont but has embraced the opportunities in Texas. With a goal to attend Veterinary school and specialize in reproduction, Parks has been actively involved on campus. She joined the Wool Judging Team, Horse Judging Team, and Academic Quadrathlon Team to broaden her exposure to agriculture. Her dedication led her teams to success, with achievements including second and third place at the National Western Collegiate Wool Contest and winning the American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show Collegiate Horse Judging Contest.

Parks also completed internships with the State Fair of Texas, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and the U.S. Dairy Education and Training Consortium. She maintained a spot on the Dean’s Honor Roll, made valuable connections, and held leadership positions in the Texas A&M Horsemen’s Association and the Animal Science Ambassadors. Parks advises incoming and current students to embrace new experiences, seek opportunities, and stay committed to their long-term goals.
