The CATalyst Council, committed to the health and welfare of companion cats, awarded a $20,000 grant to Sylvester.ai, a leader in pet wellness technology. This funding supports Sylvester.ai’s development of AI technology for detecting chronic pain in cats, a vital advancement for early intervention and care. The Council, established in 2008, collaborates with shelters, Veterinary professionals, and industry partners to enhance feline well-being.

Sylvester.ai’s AI, known for accurately identifying acute pain, will now expand its capabilities to chronic pain detection. CEO Susan Groeneveld highlighted the importance of this grant for refining their model, benefiting countless cats. Lead behaviorist Frances Valentine emphasized ongoing work with cats experiencing chronic pain, supported by this grant, to improve future care. The CATalyst Council expressed excitement in partnering with Sylvester.ai to advance technology that aligns with their mission of lifelong care for companion cats.
