Dr. Alexa Delaune, the aquarium’s vice president of Veterinary Services, emphasizes the importance of educating the public about sharks to debunk misconceptions and highlight their crucial role in marine ecosystems. The aquarium hosts four shark species and aims to raise awareness about sharks’ ecological importance and the rarity of unprovoked shark attacks.
