Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) raised over $1.19 million in October to support underserved pets, including those affected by recent hurricanes in the Southeast. Through its VEG Cares Share Day, over 85 VEG locations decorated hospitals and engaged customers to raise awareness and funds for pets in need. Founder and CEO Dr. David Bessler praised the efforts, highlighting the unity of VEG staff, known as “VEGgies,” in supporting this cause.

VEG Cares, a charitable program funded by donations, provides life-saving veterinary care to pets in financial distress, animals impacted by natural disasters, and police, service, and rescue animals across the U.S. In addition, on October 19, VEG hosted a VEG Cares 5K event at Manhattanville College in Harrison, NY, inviting participants and pets to a fun run to raise further funds through registrations, donations, and sponsorships, contributing to their mission of helping animals in need nationwide.
