The North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) awarded Pet Peace of Mind the NAVC Gives Marquee Award during the Veterinary Meeting & Expo in Orlando, Florida. Pet Peace of Mind, a national nonprofit based in Salem, Oregon, helps hospice care patients keep their pets during their end-of-life journey and facilitates new homes for the pets after the owner passes away. The organization provides services at no cost, including Veterinary care.

As the award recipient, Pet Peace of Mind receives a $25,000 reward, supporting the launch of 10 new hospices. The Inner Pup, a New Orleans-based nonprofit addressing heartworm disease in dogs owned by low-income families, was named NAVC Gives Honoree.
