The American Horse Council (AHC) and the American Youth Horse Council (AYHC) have partnered with the National Home School Association (NHSA) to expand access to equine education for homeschool families across the United States. Through this collaboration, horse-related educational content developed by breed and discipline associations, industry organizations, and subject-matter experts will be showcased and made more widely available. The initiative aims to promote youth education, responsible horse ownership, and awareness of diverse career pathways within the equine industry.
According to Julie Broadway, president of the American Horse Council, the partnership builds on more than a year of work by the AHC Youth Engagement Task Force to identify high-quality youth resources and connect them with educators and families. These materials will be featured in the AHC/AYHC Youth Resource Handbook, a centralized tool designed to support learning and engagement in the horse industry. AHC also recognized the contributions of Abby Eddy, a Fall 2025 intern from Auburn University, for helping advance the project.
