Craig Thompson, a clinical associate professor in the Department of Comparative Pathobiology at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Viticus Group, formerly known as the Western Veterinary Conference. He was elected during the 2026 WVC Annual Conference in Las Vegas and will serve a five-year term.
A 1998 DVM graduate of Oklahoma State University, Thompson completed postgraduate training at the University of Tennessee and Texas A&M University before joining Purdue’s faculty in 2003. A board-certified clinical pathologist, he focuses on diagnostic pathology and Veterinary education. Since 2005, he has been an active continuing education speaker, including multiple presentations at WVC.
Thompson said he looks forward to advancing Veterinary continuing education through his board service. Viticus Group is expanding with a new WVC Nashville conference and education center, broadening its national reach.
