The Veterinary Hospital Management Association (VHMA) has announced Victoria Lattig and Kaitlyn Behling-Mikesell as recipients of the 2025 Emerging Leader Program Scholarship, recognizing their leadership and commitment to advancing Veterinary practice management. Kaitlyn Behling-Mikesell, a hospital administrator in Chattanooga, TN, transformed a struggling clinic into a thriving practice by streamlining operations, improving communication, and fostering employee engagement. Her efforts reduced turnover and enhanced efficiency. Kaitlyn aims to help other managers optimize practice operations after earning her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) certification.
Victoria “Tori” Lattig, a hospital manager in Toms River, NJ, embraced empathetic leadership to balance enforcing protocols with nurturing team relationships. Her shift to “leading with empathy” strengthened staff connections and improved operations. She recently completed Penn Foster’s Veterinary Practice Management Certificate and plans to inspire others to pursue CVPM certification. The scholarship provides financial support and professional development opportunities, empowering these leaders to enhance their practices and contribute to the Veterinary field’s future.
