Tractor Supply Company, Starlink, and 4-H have announced a new initiative to expand broadband access and educational opportunities for rural communities across the United States. The collaboration aims to reduce the digital divide by combining Starlink’s satellite internet technology, Tractor Supply’s nationwide rural retail presence, and 4-H’s youth development network.
Starlink will provide 100 internet kits and service to selected rural 4-H clubs, giving young people greater access to STEM education, workforce development, and online learning. Tractor Supply will donate $500,000 to launch the program, while Starlink will contribute the value of the first month’s subscription from eligible purchases made through Tractor Supply to support local 4-H programs. The announcement was made at the Great American State Fair with leaders from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Tractor Supply, SpaceX, and 4-H. The initiative builds on Tractor Supply’s long standing commitment to rural communities and youth development while helping improve connectivity and future opportunities for rural Americans.
