Harbor Point Animal Hospital in Mooresville, North Carolina, has been named the 2025 Accredited Practice of the Year (APOY) by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the only accrediting body for Veterinary hospitals in North America. Selected from more than 4,500 accredited hospitals across the U.S. and Canada, Harbor Point was recognized for its excellence in medicine, leadership, and client care.
Since opening in 2016, the Encore Vet Group–affiliated practice has prioritized reducing fear, anxiety, and stress in pets while delivering advanced, evidence-based veterinary medicine. Practice operations coordinator Diane Vermillion said the award reflects their mission to “change the way pets see the vet” by treating every client like family and upholding the highest standards. Deeply involved in the Lake Norman community, Harbor Point partners with local rescues and small businesses. Its modern facility and growing client base position it for continued success and team expansion in 2025.
