Dr. Eleanor Green is Founding Dean of Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine in Arkansas and Professor & Dean Emerita of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University, Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, Equine Practice. Following practice ownership in a rural community, Dr. Green has held academic positions, including: founding faculty member, Mississippi State U CVM; equine scholar and educator, U of Missouri CVM; Head, Dept Large Animal Clinical Sciences and Hospital Director, U of Tennessee; Chair, Dept Large Animal Clinical Sciences and Chief of Staff, Large Animal Hospital, U of Florida; and Carl B. King Dean of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University.  Dr. Green has a special interest in the future of veterinary medicine and veterinary education and the innovations that will help ensure optimal animal healthcare and a thriving profession. At Texas A&M she launched the annual Veterinary Innovation Summit with NAVC and created an Office of Innovation that oversaw the Aggies Invent hackathon and the Veterinary Entrepreneurship Academy. She was founding member of the national Veterinary Innovation Council, founding board member of the Veterinary Virtual Care Association, and chair of the AVMA-AAVMC Veterinary Future’s Commission. Dr. Green previously served as president of four national professional organizations: AAVMC; AAEP; ABVP; AAVC.
