DOGTV, the network dedicated to canine well-being, has appointed Willy Good Dog, a popular social media personality, as its first-ever Chief Dog Officer (CDO). Chosen from over 75 applicants, Willy will act as the brand’s “ambassadog,” championing dog adoption, strengthening the human-animal bond, and ensuring all DOGTV initiatives focus on dogs’ happiness and health. He will also help shape new content, product features, and partnerships.
CEO Beke Lubeach praised Willy’s enthusiasm and authenticity, noting his alignment with DOGTV’s mission of spreading joy to dogs worldwide. Willy’s brother Jax, the self-appointed Chief Nap Officer, along with their humans, Heather and Chris, will also play supportive roles. Willy’s first official duty as CDO takes place on August 26, National Dog Day, when he will greet fans at a special DOGTV Paw-ty in Times Square. Viewers can follow his ongoing adventures and leadership on DOGTV’s social media and upcoming programming.
