Southern charm blended with cutting-edge education for anyone attending the DVM360 Fetch Nashville Conference on May 30–31, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. This two-day event featured over 120 presentations that catered to a diverse range of interests and specialties. With 14 RACE-approved CE credits available, professionals had ample opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills.

The keynote speakers were amazing! Dr. Julia Miller, DVM, DACVD, captivated the audience in her session, “Discovering the Delights of Dermatology.” Dr. Miller incorporated her professional experiences with her passion for music. The advice she gave us all: Life is a journey. Do not be afraid to pivot and find your passion.

On the second day, the dynamic duo of Dr. Marty Becker and Dr. Temple Grandin took the stage to discuss “The Top 5 Seismic Things Happening in Animal Care You Need to Know About and Take Action On.” Their discussion included how AI, telemedicine, remote monitoring, new drugs, and powerful platforms are impacting animal healthcare, the advent of pain-free animal healthcare, the issues involved with access-to-care and spectrum-of-care, and the ethical sourcing of a new human food category. Their presentation got me thinking – I see a future where we scrutinize the protein we purchase to ensure it is Fear Free-certified. The reality is that all of these are driving innovation and transforming Veterinary care.

Listening to two industry icons is something one does not get to experience often, mostly only once in a lifetime, and I have had the opportunity over the years to spend time with the doctors, both in sessions like this and one-on-one. Lifetime words of wisdom came from the stage as Dr. Becker and Dr. Grandin sat casually at a table, talking about their lifetime of experiences and the future. I am touched by Dr. Grandin’s brilliance every single time I am with her. Her stories are touching, and her dedication is evident. Thanks to Vetway for providing Dr. Grandin’s book signing for attendees. Please do not miss the opportunity to hear Dr. Becker speak. People in the audience were crying – happy crying, but crying nonetheless.

Additionally, Vetway was one of the vendors that stood out with its innovative approach to streamlining Veterinary operations. The company unveiled its new outside pharmacy prescription approval platform, designed to save practices significant time and enhance efficiency. Fetch Nashville offered more than just educational sessions. The “Consult and Connect” booth offered opportunities for personalized consultations with faculty members, enabling in-depth discussions on complex cases and practice challenges. The evening entertainment blended Veterinary medicine and music, featuring artists Dylan Holmes and “The Singing Vet,” Dr. Ross Henderson.

Last, but not least, I must give a shout-out to Dr. Adam Christman, DVM, MBA, and Chief Veterinary Officer of DVM360. Dr. Christman played a pivotal role in orchestrating the conference’s success. His vision of creating an event centered on “Community, Collaboration, and Connections” resonated throughout the venue, and his infectious energy and genuine passion for Veterinary medicine were evident in every session, interaction, and initiative.

Fetch Nashville provided veterinarians, technicians, customer service representatives, and practice managers with the opportunity to enhance their skills, network with peers, and immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of Music City. The next Fetch conference is August 22-24, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri!
