A Bella Vista, Arkansas family is grieving the loss of three of their four dogs, believed to have been poisoned with antifreeze. The incident occurred late at night when all four pets showed sudden signs of distress. Within hours, three dogs—Shiner, Enzo, and Rosie—suffered severe seizures and died despite emergency treatment. Only the fourth dog, Beeboo, survived, likely due to ingesting less of the suspected toxin.
Owner Billy Joe Arnold suspects someone threw poison over the backyard fence, and local veterinarian Dr. Sarah Kim supports antifreeze as the likely cause based on symptoms. Similar cases have recently been reported in the area. The Bella Vista Police filed a report on June 26 but closed the case due to lack of evidence identifying a perpetrator. The family has since installed security cameras. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the police and warn pet owners to act quickly if animals appear disoriented—an early sign of antifreeze poisoning.
