Merck Animal Health, in partnership with the American Association of Swine Veterinarians Foundation (AASVF), has awarded $50,000 in scholarships to five Veterinary students pursuing careers in swine health. The 2025 AASVF-Merck Animal Health Veterinary Student Scholarship Program recipients were announced at the 56th AASV Annual Meeting in San Francisco. Each recipient received $10,000 to support their veterinary education.
Merck Animal Health’s Justin Welsh, D.V.M., emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting future Veterinary leaders, while AASV Executive Director Harry Snelson, D.V.M., highlighted the growing importance of financial assistance for students due to rising educational costs. The scholarship is open to second- and third-year students from AVMA-accredited Veterinary programs in North America, South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Merck Animal Health continues to invest in Veterinary education and innovation, reinforcing its commitment to advancing animal health and welfare globally.
