Morris Animal Foundation is now accepting wildlife health research pre-proposals focused on the health and welfare of mammal species. The call includes opportunities for Established InvestigatorFirst Award, and Pilot Study grants, while Fellowship Training Awards may address any wildlife species. Pre-proposals must demonstrate clear animal health impact and translational value for free-ranging wildlife populations.
The Foundation prioritizes research that engages key stakeholders and delivers both scientific and real-world impact, including collaboration with veterinarians, policymakers, and local communities. All submissions must comply with the Foundation’s Health Study Policy and ethical standards, with strong consideration given to animal welfare.
Pre-proposals must be submitted through the Foundation’s SmartSimple portal by February 11, 2026, at 4:59 p.m. ET. Selected applicants will be invited to submit full proposals in April, with final submissions due in May. Additional details and required materials are available on the Foundation’s Grants page.
