Animal health company Zoetis and Adopt a Pet have joined forces in a nearly $1 million partnership to enhance care for animals in shelters. The collaboration aims to improve access to care, provide educational resources for shelter staff and pet adopters, and address health challenges in communal settings like shelters. Zoetis, known for its portfolio of medicines and vaccines, and Adopt a Pet, a platform connecting prospective owners with homeless pets, share the goal of enhancing health outcomes for underserved shelter animals.
The partnership will include customized events, education, and product supply by Zoetis to participating shelters. The focus is expected to be on parasite prevention, including flea, tick, and heartworm care. Further details and product grant programs benefiting shelters and rescues will be announced in early 2024.
