Grubhub has partnered with PetSmart to expand its marketplace into the pet products sector, marking PetSmart as its first pet retail partner. This collaboration, announced on October 30, 2024, enables customers to order from PetSmart’s inventory of over 14,000 pet products, including food, supplements, toys, and apparel, for delivery from more than 1,400 locations across all 50 states. PetSmart’s integration into Grubhub, including its loyalty program Grubhub+, offers added convenience for pet owners seeking on-demand delivery.

This strategic move aligns with consumer trends noted by the American Pet Products Association, which reports that over half of Millennials and Gen Z shoppers prefer online channels for purchasing pet products. Craig Whitmer, Grubhub’s vice president of new verticals, expressed enthusiasm about offering customers more comprehensive delivery options, emphasizing the growing investment Americans make in their pets and the convenience of ordering pet products alongside meals and groceries.
