Florida Atlantic University (FAU) hosted CrocTank, a unique live business pitch event featuring judges from ABC’s Shark Tank at its Boca Raton campus. Four entrepreneurs from FAU’s ecosystem, including the Research Park and Tech Runway, pitched their ventures to venture capitalist Kevin O’Leary, FUBU founder Daymond John, and cybersecurity expert Robert Herjavec.

Andria Beal, Ph.D., owner of EpiPaws, a genetic testing company for determining pet ages, secured a $250,000 investment from O’Leary for a 20% equity stake. Other participants included Tim Sperry with CarbonLimit/CaptureCrete, Kaustubh Kale with Hemotag (who declined Herjavec’s offer), and Hannah Herbst with AutoTQ. The event highlighted FAU’s commitment to cultivating innovation and entrepreneurship. Opening remarks were delivered by Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer and FAU President Stacy Volnick. CrocTank was part of NobleCon 20, an equity growth conference in partnership with FAU’s College of Business Executive Education programs.
