Dr. Tony Rumschlag, a 1985 Purdue Veterinary Medicine graduate, has been appointed executive director of corporate relations for Purdue’s College of Veterinary Medicine, effective March 31. With 35 years of experience in the animal health industry, including leadership roles at Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Merial, and Elanco, Rumschlag brings deep expertise in Veterinary pharmaceuticals and pet nutrition. He also founded Rumschlag Veterinary Consulting in 2022.

In his new role, he will lead strategic partnerships between Purdue and the Veterinary industry, working closely with Dean Bret Marsh and the university’s industry relations team. Rumschlag, a recognized leader and advocate for Veterinary professionals, has held key roles with the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Heartworm Society. He is also a seasoned lecturer and recipient of numerous awards for service and achievement. Passionate about advancing Veterinary education and research, he aims to foster mutually beneficial collaborations that support Purdue and the broader profession.
