The University of Tulsa has introduced Goldie III, a golden retriever puppy, as its newest official mascot in celebration of National Golden Retriever Day. Goldie III joins the university through its Canine Ambassador program, which is designed to engage students and represent the school at campus activities and events. During the spring semester, students can expect to see the puppy around campus at select appearances, helping build school spirit and community connection.
Over the summer, Goldie III will begin working with a professional trainer to prepare for his role as a full canine ambassador. His formal introduction to campus life will continue during orientation events beginning in August, welcoming the incoming class of 2030. The university has also launched an online presence for Goldie III, including a dedicated webpage and social media accounts, allowing students, alumni, and fans to follow his training, growth, and mascot duties as he settles into his new role.
