The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine at Rowan University offers a unique admissions process tailored to its mission of preparing diverse future veterinarians. Its holistic review aims to select students ready to thrive in a challenging environment and serve diverse communities. Applicants need at least 60 college credits with a 3.0 GPA and no required standardized tests (GRE, MCAT, or CASPer). Although a bachelor’s degree and documented Veterinary experience are not mandatory, experience with animals is highly recommended.

Prerequisites include courses in biology, chemistry, genetics, and other sciences, with specific lab components required. Due to COVID-19, certain Pass/Fail grades and online labs from Spring 2020 to Spring 2022 are accepted. Admissions will be conducted via Rowan’s online portal rather than VMCAS. SSVM’s commitment to diversity emphasizes an inclusive selection process without discrimination based on race, gender, socioeconomic background, or other personal factors.
