Caitlin Cushing, JD
Caitlin is the General Counsel for Animal Policy Group, LLC after a highly successful 12-year career as a prosecutor in Seattle and Vancouver, Washington. Like her father, Caitlin honed her advocacy, analytical and negotiating skills in handling high-stakes litigation in trial courts. She has been active in animal welfare causes since she was 12 years old. Caitlin’s Animal Policy Group focus is on the regulatory, legal and legislative challenges and opportunities facing companies, schools, and non-profit organizations in pet and animal health sectors.
Caitlin received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon and her law degree from the University of Washington. She is fluent in Spanish.
After a decade in Seattle, Caitlin returned to Portland, Oregon, where she was born and raised. She lives there now with her husband and two young daughters. Caitlin’s first two babies, a dog and cat, are still adjusting to the new additions. When she can, Caitlin’s favorite thing to do is sneak away to the Oregon Coast to enjoy her home away from home, Manzanita.
