The Texas A&M University System’s board of regents has approved a $181 million Clinical Veterinary Teaching and Research Complex for the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, set to open in August 2027. This state-of-the-art small animal hospital will provide expanded facilities for Veterinary education, clinical care, and research.

The 135,000-square-foot facility will include 15 small animal specialty service accommodations, increased emergency and intensive care space, twice the number of surgical suites and exam rooms, client comfort rooms, advanced diagnostic imaging, and training areas. These upgrades aim to support groundbreaking clinical trials and enhance Veterinary care. Linda and Dennis Clark contributed $20 million to the project, emphasizing its potential to create a world-class Veterinary program. Vaughn Construction will begin site preparation in June 2025. Dean Dr. John R. August highlights the project as transformative, ensuring Texas A&M’s leadership in Veterinary education and research.
