Virbac has finalized the acquisition of Mopsan, a Turkish distributor specializing in pet food and companion animal health products. With over 20 years of presence in Türkiye, including its own subsidiary since 2018, Virbac’s acquisition of Mopsan marks a significant step in expanding its operations in the region’s fast-growing pet care market.
Mopsan, which has over 30 years of experience working with Turkish veterinarians, brings a team of 47 employees who will focus on Virbac’s companion animal business. Alican İngeç, Mopsan’s former owner and managing director, has been appointed managing director of Virbac Türkiye. This acquisition strengthens Virbac’s ability to meet the needs of the Animal Health industry by enhancing its proximity to the market.
