Animal Disease Insights is a new online platform launched by One Health Epi Consulting to centralize global animal disease data and news. It aims to support Veterinary professionals, epidemiologists, policymakers, and journalists by enabling real-time disease intelligence, outbreak tracking, and early detection. The platform complements WOAH’s WAHIS system by integrating news stories and analytics for a user-friendly, evidence-based decision-making tool.
Self-funded and offered free of charge, Animal Disease Insights seeks sponsorship for sustainability and plans to integrate social media data to capture public sentiment on emerging disease trends.
In addition, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, a Colgate-Palmolive subsidiary, will acquire Prime100, an Australian fresh pet food brand, in Q2 2025. This acquisition strengthens Hill’s presence in the Australian market while expanding its science-backed, veterinarian-endorsed pet nutrition portfolio. Hill’s and Prime100 aim to drive innovation and offer specialized dietary solutions for pets.
