A Lancaster County Veterinary clinic is limiting services after being hit by a cyberattack that disrupted access to patient records. Metro Pet/Manheim Pike Veterinary Hospital, which operates three locations in the county, announced the incident on January 7, 2026, through Facebook and email communications to clients. The attack has prevented staff from retrieving or updating medical records, including vaccination and medication histories, across all locations. As a result, the clinic is temporarily seeing emergency cases only and honoring appointments that were scheduled prior to the disruption.
Clinic officials asked clients to call only if their pet is sick or experiencing an emergency. These service limitations are expected to remain in place through the end of the week while the clinic works to resolve the issue. Metro Pet thanked clients for their patience and understanding during the outage. No further details were provided about the nature of the cyberattack or when full services will resume.
