Veterinary Management Group (VMG) has launched a new entry-level leadership CPD course aimed at professionals across the Veterinary sector. The 10-hour programme, Introduction to Veterinary Leadership and Management (iVLM), is designed to provide accessible, affordable training for individuals who are new to leadership, taking on added responsibilities, or aspiring to management roles.
Delivered at Level 3 standard, the course covers core topics such as leadership theories and styles, emotional intelligence, communication, motivation, and mental health and well-being. The iVLM also offers a clear progression pathway into VMG’s advanced Qualified Veterinary Leader programmes, including its Level 5 and diploma options.
The course was inspired by VMG president Rebecca Robinson, reflecting her focus on developing non-clinical skills within Veterinary practice. In addition, VMG has relaunched 10 standalone Level 5 CPD modules, allowing leaders to develop specific management skills.
