Leslie Easterwood has been appointed director of the Office of Continuing Education at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, beginning Jan. 1, 2026. A clinical associate professor and longtime equine practitioner, Easterwood steps into the role after serving with the Large Animal Teaching Hospital’s Equine Community Practice Service. In her new position, she aims to expand and modernize continuing education offerings across both small and large animal medicine, with a strong emphasis on hands-on, wet-lab learning experiences.
Easterwood plans to build on existing conferences while developing new programs, including specialized and international training opportunities. College leadership praised her dedication to lifelong learning, leadership in organized Veterinary medicine, and commitment to mentorship. With decades of experience in private practice, academia, and professional service, Easterwood brings a passion for education and collaboration as she works to strengthen Texas A&M’s national reputation as a leading provider of Veterinary continuing education.
