Vistancia Animal Hospital is hosting its fourth annual essay contest aimed at inspiring young people interested in Veterinary careers. Open to students 18 and under, the contest invites participants to submit essays of up to 1,000 words explaining their passion for animal healthcare. Entries are due by May 1, 2026.
Selected finalists will be announced May 8 and invited to a special event at the clinic on May 26. During the event, students will gain hands-on exposure to Veterinary medicine, learning about procedures such as X-rays, emergency care, and animal births. Top participants will also receive cash prizes.
Organizers say the goal is to give aspiring veterinarians a realistic look at the profession, highlighting both its rewards and challenges, while encouraging curiosity and early career exploration in animal health.
