After an EF-4 tornado struck Enid, Oklahoma, a 13-year-old dog named Pup was miraculously rescued after being trapped under debris for 44 hours and reunited with her owner, Kay Dragoun. The tornado destroyed homes in the area, forcing Dragoun to take shelter while Pup remained in another part of the house.
In the aftermath, rescue efforts began, but fears grew when Pup’s collar was discovered, raising concerns she had been swept away. Despite this, searchers eventually found her alive beneath the rubble, shaken but safe. Dragoun expressed deep gratitude to the many people who helped locate and rescue her beloved pet.
Following the rescue, Pup received care and is now recovering well. As Dragoun begins rebuilding her home, she hopes their story inspires compassion and encourages support for animal shelters. The emotional reunion highlights both the devastation of the storm and the resilience of pets and their owners.
