Albright’s Raw Pet Food has voluntarily recalled one lot of its Chicken Recipe for Dogs Complete and Balanced due to potential Salmonella infection contamination. The recall affects frozen 1-pound packages with lot code C001730 and a best-by date of April 28, 2027. The product was distributed nationwide directly to consumers, sold online, and supplied to select retailers in several states, including California, New York, and Wisconsin.
The recall was initiated after routine FDA testing detected Salmonella in one sample from the affected lot. No illnesses in pets or humans have been reported so far, but additional third-party testing is still underway. Salmonella can cause serious illness in pets and humans, especially young children, older adults, and immunocompromised individuals. Consumers are advised not to feed the product to pets and to safely dispose of any remaining portions. The company is continuing its investigation in coordination with the FDA.
