Clemson Paw Partners has announced plans to build a new $5 million Veterinary facility in Central, South Carolina, aimed at expanding access to affordable pet healthcare throughout the Upstate region. The nonprofit organization expects the project to be completed by summer 2027 and will prioritize construction of its spay and neuter clinic so services can begin as early as possible. The new facility will expand the organization’s low-cost offerings while supporting its long-term goal of establishing a full-service, affordable Veterinary clinic.
Founder and President Margaret J. Thompson said the expansion is designed to address growing challenges faced by pet owners who struggle to afford Veterinary care or secure appointments. The organization plans to remain debt-free, funding both the land purchase and construction through donations, grants, fundraising efforts, and community support.
Founded in 2017, Clemson Paw Partners has provided affordable animal care since opening its low-cost clinic in 2022. The new facility will continue offering spay and neuter services, vaccinations, microchipping, heartworm testing, flea and tick prevention, and feral cat management programs.
