The FIFA Fan Festival Kansas City celebrated its first-ever Dog Day on June 14, giving soccer fans the opportunity to bring their pets to World Cup festivities. The event reopened after severe weather had forced an early closure the previous day and featured a special partnership with Purina, which helped create a pet-friendly experience for attendees. Kansas City has been recognized as the most pet-friendly FIFA World Cup host city, further highlighting the community’s commitment to including pets in major events.
Dogs attending the festival received treats, water bowls, and customizable World Cup jerseys while supplies lasted. Organizers emphasized the importance of creating spaces where people and their pets can enjoy experiences together. Attendees expressed enthusiasm about including their dogs in family activities, noting that pets are valued family members and travel companions. The event was well received by visitors and their pets alike. Two additional Dog Day celebrations are scheduled at the FIFA Fan Festival Kansas City on June 21 and July 5.
