A former office manager at Spay and Neuter Syracuse (SANS), a nonprofit Veterinary clinic in Syracuse, has been charged with stealing approximately $187,000 from the organization over several years, according to prosecutors. Authorities allege the employee used her position of trust to divert nonprofit funds for personal expenses, including significant gambling losses at casinos. The theft reportedly left the organization without insurance coverage to offset the financial loss, creating additional challenges for the clinic as it continues serving the community.
