Fromm Family Foods Recalls 2 Wet Dog Food Pâtés Over Potential Metal Contamination

Fromm Family Foods has voluntarily recalled two varieties of wet dog food after receiving complaints about potential metal contamination. The recall involves 3,852 cases of Fromm Turkey Pâté Wet Dog Food and 1,973 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo’s Meatloaf Pâté, both with a best-by date of March 20, 2029. The products were distributed through neighborhood pet stores and online retailers across the United States and Canada.

Although no illnesses or injuries had been reported as of the recall date, ingesting metal can cause choking, vomiting, appetite loss, lethargy, stomach discomfort, gastrointestinal lacerations, blockages, or intestinal obstruction. Owners with affected products should stop feeding them immediately, verify the UPC and lot information, and return them to the retailer. Veterinary practices are advised to evaluate dogs displaying possible symptoms after consuming the recalled food.
