Elanco Animal Health has launched the “Defend Puppies. Defeat Parvo” campaign to raise awareness about Canine Parvovirus and its treatment. The campaign encourages dog owners, veterinarians, and pet enthusiasts to take a pledge to protect puppies from this deadly disease. Elanco offers up to $1 million in rebate incentives to veterinarians who purchase their Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody, providing a valuable resource for treatment.
Dr. Jennifer Miller, a technical veterinarian at Elanco, emphasizes that parvo doesn’t have to be a death sentence and that their innovative treatment can alleviate the emotional toll it takes on pet owners. The campaign aims to save 1 million puppies from parvo by 2030. In addition, the Parvo Defenders Task Force, consisting of organizations like Idexx Laboratories and Mars Veterinary Health, is working to increase awareness and treatment options for parvo.
