Caudle Veterinary Clinic in East Nashville voluntarily closed after questions emerged about the licensing status of a veterinarian who allegedly performed procedures there. The closure followed a report about a dog that died hours after surgery and concerns raised by another pet owner, Jocelyn Vines.
Vines said her senior dog, Gill, underwent surgery in July to remove a cancerous lump and experienced bleeding and other complications afterward. She said Prashant Fatchkumar Pandya, whom she knew as “Dr. Panda,” performed the procedure and provided follow-up care.
Documents listed veterinarian Dr. FK Pandya, Prashant Pandya’s father, whose Tennessee license remains active through March 2027. However, state records showed Prashant Pandya did not have an active Veterinary license.
Veterinarian Dr. Michael Hatcher said Prashant Pandya’s status indicated he had not met Tennessee’s minimum licensing requirements and could not practice without appropriate supervision unless actively involved in Veterinary education.
