Charterhouse Capital Partners has completed its acquisition of Animalcare Group following the company’s delisting from the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market. Headquartered in York, England, Animalcare develops and commercializes pharmaceuticals and healthcare products for companion animals, equine, and production animals. Its portfolio includes approximately 150 Animal Health brands, with particular strength in dental, equine, and pain management products across Europe and the Asia Pacific region. Charterhouse cited the Animal Health sector’s resilience, driven by increasing pet ownership, expanding treatment options, and growing Veterinary awareness, as key reasons for the investment.
The private equity firm plans to work closely with CEO Jennifer Winter and the existing leadership team to accelerate international expansion, strengthen Animalcare’s research and development pipeline, pursue strategic acquisitions, and enhance operational excellence. Charterhouse believes Animalcare’s differentiated product portfolio, scientific expertise, and established market position provide a strong foundation for sustainable long term growth and continued innovation.
