Darius, a well-known donkey from Conway, Arkansas, has found a new home at Pediatrics Plus Farm, where he will support therapy programs for children with special needs. The farm is part of Pediatrics Plus, which provides occupational, physical, speech, and behavioral therapy in a hands on setting that incorporates animals, gardens, and other real world activities. Staff believe Darius’ gentle temperament and love of people will help children build confidence, develop functional life skills, and enjoy positive therapeutic experiences.
Darius became a local favorite after living on the Thompson family’s property, where visitors frequently stopped to interact with him. Following noise complaints, his owners searched for a location where he could continue bringing joy to the community. Pediatrics Plus Farm offered the ideal solution, allowing Darius to become part of its growing animal assisted therapy program. His owners and the farm’s staff hope his friendly personality will continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.
