Dr. Danielle “Doc” Flowers has built a unique career that combines veterinary medicine and western-inspired art in rural Wyoming. A lifelong animal lover who knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from childhood, Flowers now practices mixed-animal medicine in the Cody and Meeteetse region, caring for pets, horses, cattle, and other livestock vital to local ranching operations.
After falling in love with Wyoming’s landscapes and ranching culture during an internship, she made the state her home and developed a strong passion for livestock health and producer relationships. Flowers emphasizes the importance of balancing animal welfare with the financial realities faced by ranchers.
Outside the clinic, she creates detailed pastel portraits of animals, a passion rekindled as a way to cope with the emotional challenges of Veterinary practice. Her training in anatomy enhances both her artwork and clinical skills, allowing her to capture animals with remarkable accuracy. Through both professions, Flowers seeks to celebrate the connection between animals, people, and the western landscapes she calls home.
