Leading with Care: Virbac Becomes a Human-Animal Bond Certified Company

Virbac Corporation has been named a Human-Animal Bond Certified Company through a program developed by the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) and the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI). This certification reflects Virbac’s commitment to advancing education, research, and clinical practices that strengthen the relationship between people and their pets.

The certification program, launched in 2018, provides science-based training to Veterinary professionals on applying human-animal bond principles in practice. Since achieving certification, Virbac has rapidly implemented training across its workforce, with nearly 250 employees completing the course within the first month. The company plans to expand participation further across its North American operations.

Leaders from Virbac and NAVC emphasized that understanding the human-animal bond can improve patient care, client communication, and overall well-being for both pets and owners. Overall, the initiative positions Virbac as a leader in integrating this concept into Veterinary medicine.
