Following severe thunderstorms and hail on June 24, Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary in Green Bay, Wisconsin, suffered extensive damage when part of its ceiling collapsed, forcing the immediate evacuation of all animals in its care. The building was later declared condemned, leaving the nonprofit shelter without a usable facility. In response, the local community has quickly rallied to support the organization. A GoFundMe campaign has been established to help cover recovery costs, while several area businesses are collecting donations on the sanctuary’s behalf.
Donation boxes are available at Gonme Games locations, Skinny Buddha Tattoo, Golden House in Green Bay, and Pawffee Shop Cat Cafe, Safe Haven’s sister location in Appleton. Stadium View is also supporting relief efforts through a customer round up donation campaign. The community response highlights the strong local commitment to helping Safe Haven recover from the storm and continue providing care for displaced pets while rebuilding after the unexpected disaster.
