A man was fatally mauled by a Siberian tiger after entering an enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in England on October 10, 2026. The unidentified man was attacked shortly after entering the enclosure, with disturbing footage showing the tiger biting and clawing at him as he attempted to defend himself. Horrified visitors witnessed the incident and shouted in alarm.
South Yorkshire Police received reports of the emergency around 1:35 p.m. and dispatched officers and medical personnel to the scene. Despite emergency responders’ efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the park. Authorities confirmed that the tiger remained unharmed inside its enclosure and posed no threat to the public.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park evacuated visitors and closed for the remainder of the weekend. Investigators have not determined how the man entered the enclosure, which features elevated walkways designed for safe viewing. Specialist officers are supporting the victim’s family during the investigation.
