OSU Announces Sites for New Veterinary Hospital, Agronomy Center

Oklahoma State University has announced locations for two major construction projects in Stillwater: a $330 million Veterinary teaching hospital and a $50 million Agronomy Discovery Center. The 275,000-square-foot Veterinary hospital will be built west of campus and will accommodate increased student enrollment while expanding teaching, research, and advanced care for large and small animals. Oklahoma lawmakers provided $250 million toward the hospital in 2025, with OSU raising additional private funding.

The Agronomy Discovery Center will be constructed about half a mile away and support research involving wheat breeding, crop science, soil fertility, forage, and turfgrass. Lawmakers appropriated $40 million for that project, contingent upon OSU raising $10 million privately by July 2027. As of September 1, donors had pledged $8.7 million. OSU leaders said the facilities will strengthen education and research while helping attract students, faculty, and researchers and delivering practical benefits to Veterinary practices, farms, businesses, and communities throughout Oklahoma.
