The Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) has been awarded a $75,000 grant from the WPA Good Works program to enhance sustainability efforts in the pet industry. The funding will support initiatives such as promoting eco-friendly packaging, responsible ingredient sourcing, and educating businesses on effective environmental strategies.

With over 200 members in 18 countries, PSC has spent 11 years fostering measurable, profitable sustainability improvements. The grant will help PSC develop the 2025 “Sustainability in the Pet Industry Report,” offering data on consumer trends and environmental challenges. It will also fund educational programs, including webinars on greenhouse gas reporting, sustainable packaging, and anti-greenwashing, while expanding its free toolkit of resources such as ingredient databases and packaging legislation trackers.

PSC Executive Director Jim Lamancusa expressed gratitude for WPA’s support, emphasizing its importance to their mission. WPA President Vic Mason highlighted the collaborative effort to create meaningful environmental change within the pet industry.
