Dr. Jodi Wallace from Ormstown, Quebec, recently received the AABP Bovine Practitioner of the Year award, the highest honor from the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP), sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim, at the 2023 56th AABP Annual Conference in Milwaukee. This prestigious award recognizes veterinarians in active bovine practice who have made significant contributions to the field and are actively involved in organized Veterinary medicine.

Several other notable awards were presented at the conference, including the AABP Award of Excellence, given to Dr. Jason Lombard from Loveland, Colorado, for his influential contributions to bovine Veterinary practice. Dr. Terry Engelken from Ames, Iowa, was honored with the Merck Animal Health Mentor-of-the-Year Award for serving as a role model and advisor to Veterinary students. Dr. Amelia Woolums from Mississippi State, Mississippi, received the Zoetis Distinguished Service Award for her long-standing contributions to organized Veterinary medicine.

Dr. Ryan Rademacher from Okotoks, Alberta, was awarded the Dr. James A. Jarrett Award for Young Leaders, recognizing his outstanding service to AABP within the first 10 years of Veterinary school graduation. In addition, the conference featured research grant awards, graduate student awards, and student case presentation competition winners, showcasing the latest advancements and talents in bovine Veterinary medicine.
