Two juveniles are in custody after three dogs were stolen from a Veterinary hospital in Duncan, Oklahoma, during a burglary on August 2. Police quickly located the stolen dogs alive and safely recovered them. While executing a search warrant at a nearby residence connected to the investigation, officers discovered seven additional dogs. Authorities are now working to determine whether those animals belong to local owners or were reported missing or stolen in other incidents.
Investigators are asking members of the public to review photographs of the recovered dogs and contact police if they recognize any of them. The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to identify the animals’ rightful owners and determine whether additional criminal charges are warranted. The swift recovery of the three stolen dogs marked a positive outcome, but the discovery of the additional animals has expanded the scope of the investigation and raised concerns about possible other thefts involving pets in the area.
