Maria Morgan, MBA, CVPM, has been named the inaugural recipient of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association’s (VHMA) Kelly Clay Innovation Award for co-founding Passpaw, a cloud-based platform that simplifies international pet travel compliance for Veterinary practices. Inspired by the growing complexity of pet travel regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic, Morgan developed the platform to streamline country-specific requirements, organize documentation, and improve communication between Veterinary teams and clients.
VHMA Executive Director Christine Q. Shupe praised Morgan for creating a practical solution that allows practices to focus more on patient care, while Dr. Adam Little noted that her work reflects Kelly Clay’s belief in the innovative potential of Veterinary professionals. Along with a $2,500 cash prize, Morgan will receive a one-year VHMA membership and conference registration. She hopes her recognition encourages others in the Veterinary profession to identify challenges, share ideas, and develop solutions that improve practice management and patient care.
