The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) has launched a global survey aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of the realities, challenges, and opportunities affecting companion animal Veterinary practices worldwide. The survey is open to professionals working in companion animal clinical settings, including veterinarians, Veterinary technicians, and Veterinary nurses.

The data collected will serve as the foundation for the WSAVA’s upcoming Global State of Companion Animal Veterinary Practice Report, scheduled for publication later in 2026. The report is intended to provide valuable insights that can help support Veterinary professionals, strengthen national Veterinary associations, and guide global advocacy, education, and industry initiatives.

According to WSAVA President Dr. Jim Berry, the survey offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from Veterinary professionals about their experiences and needs. The findings are expected to help ensure that future programs, resources, and advocacy efforts are aligned with the challenges facing companion animal practice today. The initiative is supported by the Purina Institute and reflects WSAVA’s commitment to advancing Veterinary medicine on a global scale.
